If you don’t want to camp in tents or RVs, there are several camping cabins available for rent. Improved campsites cost between $30 and $46 while primitive campsites cost$24.

This is a privately owned campground located approximately 15 miles east of the Town of Devils Lake, on the east shore of beautiful Devils Lake. The campground offers guests a great facility and upgraded the amenities. There are several seasonal tent campsites with water, electrical, and sewer hookups. The campground also has a limited number of overnight RV spots with electric and water hookups. These campsites are nestled within shade trees, and each comes with a picnic table and fire ring. There is a sanitary dump near the entrance and an eat-in c-store with ready to eat foods.
7. Buffalo Gap Campground

The campground has 36 campsites with a fire ring and BBQ grill, as well as parking pads of up to 60 feet long. 8. Beaver Creek Recreation Area
This campground is located on the north side of Beaver Bay on Lake Oahe, 16 miles west of Linton. The campground has several tent sites, 59 RV sites some with electric hookups and 35 primitive campsites. Besides campsites, campers also enjoy several amenities such as picnic shelter, nature hiking trail, pool, fishing cleaning station, 3-lane launching ramp, 2 courtesy docks, boat launch, dump station, bathrooms, showers and comfort station. Camping fees are $14 for electric sites, $10 for non-electric campsites and $8 for primitive campsites.
9. Lindenwood Campground
Located on 1955 Roger Maris Dr in Fargo, North Dakota, Lindenwood Campground has 46 sites with water and electricity. This is one of the best campgrounds in the Upper Midwest. The campground offers 47 heavily wooded campsites nestled along the shoreline of Red River. Campground conveniences and amenities include electricity, paved drive, running water, picnic tables, fire pits, restrooms, hot showers, two playground facilities, bike trails, and bike rentals. Water, sewer and dump stations, toiletry items, firewood, and concessions are also provided to campers. There are no alcoholic drinks allowed inside the campground area.

Frontier Fort RV Park is a camping park located on 1838 3rd Avenue SE in Jamestown, North Dakota. This RV Park has 51 RV sites with full hook-ups, gift shop, bar, and grill. Since most of the camping sites at this campground get filled up quickly, you will need to make a reservation to be guaranteed a camping spot.

This is a county-leased and operated park located in Erie, North Dakota. Campers get access to several campground amenities such as hiking trails, a playground, flush toilets, and a swimming beach area. A fishing pier, a dump station, a restaurant, additional hiking trails, and boat ramp are within walking distance.
15. Hazelton Recreation Area
Hazelton Recreation Area is another best campsite in North Dakota for locals and visitors.
