Individual campsites at this campground can accommodate up to two vehicles and six people. There is a group camping area that can accommodate up to 20 people. There are no hookups or a dump station. The campground has several amenities such as a water station, picnic tables and fire pits. All trailers and recreational vehicles must remain on roadways or pads.

3. Jamestown Campground

4. Downstream Campground
Downstream Campground is located along Hatchery Road in Hazen, North Dakota, on the East bank of the Missouri River. This campground offers a broad range of recreational facilities including camping, fishing, boating, hiking, sailing, hinting, bird watching, and scuba diving. There are three loops with 98 electrical sites with amp service. The campground also has one loop with 16 primitive campsites for primitive camping. All campsites have BBQ grills and picnic tables. Other amenities include showers, flush and vault toilets, fill and dump station, drinking water, playground equipment, paved sites, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball court.
5. Medora Campground
Medora Campground is located along the Little Missouri River on the west side of Medora. The campground has over 150 campgrounds, which include hook-up campsites and primitive campsites. Facility amenities at this campground include free Wi-Fi, bathrooms, shower facilities, a Playground for the kids, an RV waste station and a new general store. If you don’t want to camp in tents or RVs, there are several camping cabins available for rent. Improved campsites cost between $30 and $46 while primitive campsites cost$24.

This is a privately owned campground located approximately 15 miles east of the Town of Devils Lake, on the east shore of beautiful Devils Lake. The campground offers guests a great facility and upgraded the amenities. There are several seasonal tent campsites with water, electrical, and sewer hookups. The campground also has a limited number of overnight RV spots with electric and water hookups. These campsites are nestled within shade trees, and each comes with a picnic table and fire ring. There is a sanitary dump near the entrance and an eat-in c-store with ready to eat foods.
7. Buffalo Gap Campground
If you are looking for a campground in Sentinel, North Dakota, look no further than the Buffalo Gap Campground. This campground is located in Sentinel approximately eight miles west of Medora. The campground has 36 campsites with a fire ring and BBQ grill, as well as parking pads of up to 60 feet long. There are several campground amenities and facilities for an enjoyable and memorable camping experience. A camp host is available for use from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Besides camping, other popular activities at this campground include hiking, nature viewing, picnicking and horse riding.
8. Beaver Creek Recreation Area
This campground is located on the north side of Beaver Bay on Lake Oahe, 16 miles west of Linton. The campground has several tent sites, 59 RV sites some with electric hookups and 35 primitive campsites. Besides campsites, campers also enjoy several amenities such as picnic shelter, nature hiking trail, pool, fishing cleaning station, 3-lane launching ramp, 2 courtesy docks, boat launch, dump station, bathrooms, showers and comfort station. Camping fees are $14 for electric sites, $10 for non-electric campsites and $8 for primitive campsites.
9. Lindenwood Campground
Located on 1955 Roger Maris Dr in Fargo, North Dakota, Lindenwood Campground has 46 sites with water and electricity. This is one of the best campgrounds in the Upper Midwest. The campground offers 47 heavily wooded campsites nestled along the shoreline of Red River. Campground conveniences and amenities include electricity, paved drive, running water, picnic tables, fire pits, restrooms, hot showers, two playground facilities, bike trails, and bike rentals. Water, sewer and dump stations, toiletry items, firewood, and concessions are also provided to campers. There are no alcoholic drinks allowed inside the campground area.
10. Frontier Fort RV Park
Frontier Fort RV Park is a camping park located on 1838 3rd Avenue SE in Jamestown, North Dakota. This RV Park has 51 RV sites with full hook-ups, gift shop, bar, and grill. Other features of this campground include electricity, pet-friendly, water, showers, and many other campground amenities. Since most of the camping sites at this campground get filled up quickly, you will need to make a reservation to be guaranteed a camping spot.
11. Brewer Lake Campground
This is a county-leased and operated park located in Erie, North Dakota. Guests at this campground get access to several campsites for tents, water electrical hookups for campers, a swimming area, restrooms with showers and a boat ramp. The camp host with county staff is available on site from May through September. We encourage making reservations for camping. This is a privately owned campground located in eastern North Dakota on Lake Ashtabula, 1o miles from Valley City. This is the most popular campground in the area with lake access, secluded sites, and thick forests. There are 41 individual campsites at this campground, 37 of them offering electrical amp service. Campers get access to several campground amenities such as hiking trails, a playground, flush toilets, and a swimming beach area. A fishing pier, a dump station, a restaurant, additional hiking trails, and boat ramp are within walking distance.
15. Hazelton Recreation Area
Hazelton Recreation Area is another best campsite in North Dakota for locals and visitors. Nestled on the east bank of the beautiful Missouri River on Lake Oahe, this recreational area has great spots for camping, fishing, boating, and hunting. There are 12 sites with 50-amp electrical hookups and 18 primitive sites for primitive camping. Campfire rings and picnic tables are provided at each camping site.
