What Does The Camco Jack Pad Do?
The Camco jack pad is designed to help your travel trailer stabilizer jacks from sinking into soft ground. Instead of using several pieces of plywood or a wooden block which are not design to really work as jack pads we use this Camco product which has been developed specifically for this task. These have been engineered to support up to 6,000 lbs. The patented design optimizes both strength and weight when used with Camco’s Stack Jacks on solid ground.
The pads are well made and constructed of a UV stabilized resin which is made to last even when it is left out in direct sunlight for extended periods of time. The bright yellow color makes them easily visible and can prevent tripping accidents as well as make the jack pads easy to find. They Camco jack pads come with a built-in carry handle and a Velcro strap to hold them all together. They are 6.25 inches square in size.
How To Use The Camco Jack Pads
Using these jack pads is quite easy. Simply place the flat side of the jack pad facing down and your stabilizer right on it. Once you are done raise the stabilizer and remove the pad. Word of caution-Never place yourself underneath or behind the vehicle since it is unstable.
What Users of the Camco Jack Pads Are Saying
- Perfect for large high wall popup trailers stabilizers
- Sturdy convenient and lighter than wood
- Performed as expected and seem well-made
- Easy to carry and store
- Works well but a little smaller than expected
- Too much flex with my trailer
- Nice construction but a little small
- Could be stronger
- Ease of Use
It seems that most of the user who were not satisfied with the product complained about them being too small. I suggest you measure the base of your stabilizer jack prior to ordering. Keep in mind these are for lighter trailers and not for really heavy 5th wheels. Overall a good product as long as you understand the limitation of it’s size and the fact that they are made of plastic.
