Casita Travel Trailer Review

In this article we are going to take a look at the Casita line of travel trailers. Before we begin with the Casita travel trailers themselves lets’ get to know the company a little bit.

Casita travel trailers are manufactured in Rice, TX by Casita Enterprises. They have been building these lightweight travel trailers since 1983. They claim to be America’s Favorite Lightweight Travel Trailer. The company seems to be divided into two teams, the dealership and office team and the manufacturing plant leaders. Casita also has Casita United which is their volunteer internal organization that give back to the community by volunteering for various projects throughout the year.

Casita Travel Trailer Models

All of the camping trailers manufactured by Casita are considered small travel trailers or “lightweight travel trailers”. There are five models to choose from in the Casita small travel trailer line; Patriot, Spirit, Freedom, Liberty and the Independence model. Within those models you will find a Standard model and a Deluxe model. The difference between the two is the Deluxe give up some sleeping space in order to accommodate a bathroom and shower.

The Casita Patriot

Casita Patriot DeluxeThe Casita Patriot travel trailer is only available as a 13-foot Deluxe model. It is designed to sleep 1-2 people. The double bed can easily convert to an extra dining/sitting area that easily accommodates 4 people.

It has the nearly all the equipment options as it larger siblings. This model makes the perfect weekender travel trailer. The bath included in this Deluxe model is similar to the bath you will find in the 16-foot Casita Deluxe models.

The Casita Spirit

La Casita SpiritThe Casita Spirit comes in both a 16 foot and a 17 foot length size as well as standard and deluxe models. As previously mentioned the Deluxe model offer a bathroom and shower.

The Spirit easily sleeps 1 to 2 people and you can convert the two sleeping area to dinettes. There is available an alternate interior layout that has two bunk beds. The standard model with no bathroom can sleep up to six people.

A nice upgrade from the entry Deluxe Patriot the Casita Spirit is well laid-out and and used it’s limited interior space wisely to allow two people to be very comfortable. For me I still like the Deluxe model even though it has less sleeping space simply because I prefer our own bathroom and shower.
